THORNLIE - COCKBURN LINE
Avopiling2023 – 2024
The Thornlie-Cockburn Link will be Perth’s first east-west cross line connection, making travel more flexible while providing a higher level of public transport service to Perth’s south-eastern suburbs.
To facilitate the project works, CMR Tech was engaged by Avopiling to undertake Thermal Integrity Testing and Static Load Tests as part of critical testing requirements for the new Thornlie-Cockburn Railway Line.
As part of the testing analysis, Static Load Tests were undertaken to test the integrity and bearing capacity of sacrificial piles.
Typically, setup of the SLT takes place a days prior to the testing campaign. Highly precise displacements sensors, load cells and other measuring equipment is required to ensure data integrity and quality data capture.
A typical SLT campaign can take approximately 14 hours with testing including the Serviceability Loads (Ps) and Geotechnical Loads (Pg).
