FORRESTFIELD AIRPORT LINK
GFWA Trevi Joint VentureYear: 2018
The $1.86 billion Forrestfield-Airport Link project has delivered a new rail service to the eastern suburbs of Perth – with three new stations at Redcliffe, Airport Central and High Wycombe. Known as the Airport Line, the rail link supports part of the METRONET vision for a well-connected Perth with more transport, housing and employment choices.
To facilitate the project works, CMR Tech was engaged by the GFWA Trevi Joint venture to perform 3 Static Load Tests on barrettes for the Forrestfield Airport Link Project.
At 3 different locations, Airport Central, Belmont and Bayswater Stations, 7-9 layers of strain gauges and extensometers were set up and tension tests were performed between 14 to 16 MN. Over 50 channels of data were recorded to the data acquisition system.
