These piles are being loaded in tension using various loading configurations.  Some of the piles have extensiometers and strain gauges installed down the length of the pile.<br />
All sensors are logged electronically to a computer and provide graphical information during the test.</strong></h2></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>The procedure for undertaking a pile tension test typically involves several steps, including preparation, instrumentation, loading, and data analysis. A general outline of the process follows:</p>
<p><strong>Preparation:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select the pile(s) to be tested based on project specifications and requirements</li>
<li>Clear the area around the pile(s) to ensure safe and unobstructed access</li>
<li>Install any necessary equipment, such as reaction frames or anchors, to apply and measure the tensile load</li>
<li>Ensure that the pile is properly installed and secured in the ground according to design specifications</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Instrumentation:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Install instrumentation to measure parameters such as load, displacement, and strain.</li>
<li>Common instruments used include load cells, displacement transducers, and strain gauges.</li>
<li>Calibrate the instrumentation to ensure accurate measurement of the applied load and pile response.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Loading:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Apply the tensile load to the pile using hydraulic jacks, winches, or other appropriate equipment</li>
<li>Gradually increase the load in increments while monitoring the pile&#8217;s response as per the Client&#8217;s requirements</li>
<li>Record data at regular intervals, including load applied, pile displacement as per the Client&#8217;s requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Data Collection:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Continuously monitor and record data throughout the loading process</li>
<li>Measure and record any settlement or movement of the pile and surrounding soil</li>
<li>Ensure that data collection is performed accurately and consistently to capture relevant information</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Unload and Analysis:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>After reaching the desired load level or observing specific pile behavior, gradually unload the pile</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Reporting:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Present the collected data for assessment by Engineer</li>
</ul>
<p>Throughout the entire process, safety precautions should be strictly followed to prevent accidents or damage to equipment and personnel. This includes setting up a working area at least 20m around the testing site ensuring personel who are not actively involved in the test cannot enter the area.</p></div>

<p><span>To facilitate the project works, CMR Tech was engaged by Austral. The Stone Column Plate Load Test included the installation of 12 stone columns and a resisting structure composed of 2 tubular piles and a beam running across the 2 piles. A column, a 3m x 3m plate and hydraulic cylinders were used to apply a force to the stone column area. </span></p>
<p><span>By measuring the settlement of the treated ground under the applied force, the Young’s Modulus was determined to confirm the design requirements.  The work was completed off a crane barge.</span></p>

<p><span>To facilitate the project works, CMR Tech was engaged by Belpile to undertake Strain Gauge and Pile Driving Analyzer Testing services.</span></p>
<p><span>As part of the Exmouth Harbour Upgrade, a 12m pile was strain gauged at 4 levels and a 15m pile at 6 levels.  The grouted Roto-piles were both tested in compression and tension.  Prior to this they were both PDA tested before and after grouting.</span><span></span></p>

<p><span>To facilitate the project works, CMR Tech was engaged by the GFWA Trevi Joint venture to perform 3 Static Load Tests on barrettes for the Forrestfield Airport Link Project.  </span></p>
<p><span>At 3 different locations, Airport Central, Belmont and Bayswater Stations, 7-9 layers of strain gauges and extensometers were set up and tension tests were performed between 14 to 16 MN.  Over 50 channels of data were recorded to the data acquisition system.</span></p>

<p><span>To facilitate the project works, CMR Tech was engaged by Belpile to undertake Static Load Testing as part of the Project.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 18px;">CMR Tech worked with Belpile to perform both Static (3 tests) and Dynamic (9 PDA tests) at the Greenbushes Lithium Mine Expansion.  Measurements were taken using the Pile Driving Analyzer® and were initially evaluated on site using the Case Method.</span></p>
<p>A CAPWAP analysis was then done on the data. CAPWAP® combines the measurements of the Case Method with a wave equation type numerical analysis and signal matching.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span>CMR Tech is equipped and prepared to journey to distant locations for vital pile testing operations. Collaborating with Belpile, our team swiftly mobilised to travel to Greenbushes, bringing along necessary equipment to establish and conduct the essential Static Load Testing with calibrated and compliant equipment.</span></p>

<p><span>CMR Tech is fully resourced and ready to travel to remote sites to undertake critical pile testing regimes. Working with Belpile, the team was mobilised to drive to Kalgoorlie with essential equipment to setup and undertake the required Static Load Test on behalf of Belpile.</span><span></span></p>

The PIT collects the acceleration data and displays curves that reveal any significant changes in a cross section that may exist along the shaft. The impact of the hammer generates a stress wave that propagates down the foundation and reflects back up. The accelerometer collects data that reveals the pattern of wave propagation and reflection.</p>
<p>PIT tests may also help estimate the depth of the pile toe (the pile length) if the pile is intact with embedment less than 30 times the pile diameter. Initial PIT data is evaluated in the field and later transferred to a computer for further analysis.</p></div>
